Ram Mandir consecration: Here are the companies and institutes behind the temple construction

Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is all set for a grand opening on January 22. The construction that started in 2020 has several leading firms delivering its expertise to make the mandir stand strong for 1,000 years to come.

Companies behind Ram Mandir

The most important companies and institutions behind the construction of this grand structure include Larsen & Tourbo, Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd, Central Building Research Institute, National Geophysical Research Institute and IITs from Guwahati and Madras.

Larsen & Tourbo

As per Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra general secretary Champat Rai, the plan for constructing Ram Mandir was discussed with L&T 15 years ago. The leading Indian engineering and infrastructure company is overseeing the design and construction of the temple for free. 

Tata Consulting Engineers Limited

Tata Consulting Engineers Limited is hired as the project management consultant for the Mandir construction. The firm is responsible for every aspect of the construction, from material procurement to manpower allocation.

"The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been entrusted with constructing Shree Ram Janmabhoomi. Teerth Kshetra Temple at Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) is the Project Management Consultant. The proposed temple area is situated on the banks of River Sarayu (Approximately 1 km from the riverbank)", mentions Tata Consulting Engineers’ Non Financial Annual Report.

Central Building Research Insitute

The Central Building Research Institute has been instrumental in conducting comprehensive soil testing and analysis to ensure the temple's stability for centuries to come. As per the institutes LinkedIn post, it has taken care of the main temple's structural design, design of surya tilak mechanism, Design vetting of temple foundation and Structural Health Monitoring of main temple.

National Geophysical Research Institute

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra had contacted the National Geophysical Research Institute to seek its expertise in conducting research in the highly complex structure, and on processes of the earth system and its extensively interlinked subsystems to help in the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Over 25 scientists conducted various experiments on the temple soil to provide insights on ways to mitigate geological challenges like Earth Quake that are posed to the temple.

Guwahati, Bombay, Madras IIT

The IITs lent expertise in various areas, including structural engineering, material science, and earthquake-resistant design.

Apart from these construction giants and institutes, several artisans and craftsmen have also contributed to Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
