US electric carmaker Tesla eyes potential showroom sites in New Delhi and Mumbai as it prepares to initiate sales in India later this year, according to Bloomberg sources.
Tesla, which saw its global vehicle deliveries decline in the first quarter for the first time in nearly four years, is stepping up efforts to expand into new markets.
According to the further report, Tesla plans include establishing 3,000 to 5,000 square feet showrooms and service hubs in each city.
Tesla's CEO Elon Musk is anticipated to announce investments and meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his upcoming two-day visit to India on 21st and 22nd April.
