Twitter's top lawyer Vijaya Gadde cried during a meeting with her fellow employees, which was about Elon Musk's takeover of the social media giant.
Vijaya Gadde called a virtual meeting with the policy and legal teams on Monday to discuss what the new ownership could mean for them.
Gadde cried during the meeting as she expressed concerns about how the company could change, as per a report by Politico. She acknowledged that there are significant uncertainties about what the company will look like under Musk’s leadership.
Musk's intentions behind the Twitter takeover have been yet understood to be of promoting free speech via the social media platform. Elon Musk tweeted on Monday he hopes that even his worst critics remain on Twitter because that is what free speech means.
Gadde has been involved in some of the most important and controversial decisions at Twitter, including the decision to remove all political advertising and to boot former President Donald Trump from the platform.
Musk, on the other hand, has long been against handing out permanent bans for violation of Twitter guidelines and has called for temporary time-outs.
