In a notable shift, women are outpacing men in monthly investment contributions, according to a recent study.

FinEdge, a technology-driven investment management firm, revealed that women are now investing an average of 14,347 rupees per month through systematic investment plans (SIP), surpassing men's average of 13,704 rupees.

Harsh Gahlaut, CEO of FinEdge, said, “It is evident from the study that women are not only investing more, but they are also investing smarter. By allocating a higher percentage of their monthly income towards their financial goals, women are taking proactive steps towards securing their financial future and achieving long-term success.”

The study, conducted by FinEdge among 4,351 female clients aged 23 to 64 in March 2024, coinciding with International Women’s Day, sheds light on a growing trend of financial empowerment among women.

Notably, the survey found that in 2023, women accounted for 41% of new investors at FinEdge, reflecting an increasing awareness and pursuit of financial independence among women.
