Caught on CCTV: Man slits woman's throat on busy Delhi street

In a horrific incident, a man slit a woman's throat outside a shop in a busy Delhi street.

The chilling murder took place on Sunday night in the Capital's Dwarka area and was caught on the CCTV of a shop.

In the footage, the man and the woman are seen in an argument while the woman tries to drive him away with a stick. The accused is then seen taking out a knife from his bag and seconds later he slit the woman's throat and runs away.

The locals are also seen chasing the accused as he disappears into a bylane.

Police said that the accused was beaten up by the locals and has been admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital with severe injuries.

The woman has been identified as 30-year-old Vibha and the accused as Deepak. Vibha, who ran a small vegetable shop in the area with her husband, allegedly got in a quarrel with the accused, who was drunk, the police said.
