CBSE Class 12 results 2021: 99.37% students passed, over 1.5 lakh got 90 and above

The wait is finally over for 14 lakh students in the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the results on its website, and this year the board has clocked in a record high pass percentage.

Almost all students have cleared class 12 results. Of the 13,04,561 candidates who registered, 99.37% have cleared the examination. Over 1.5 lakh students have got marks above 90, which is about 11.1%.

About 5.37% of students have got more than 95% marks in CBSE. So while the number of 90% scorers is roughly the same as last year, but the number of students in 95-100% bracket is almost double.

Girls have done better than boys. The pass percentage among girls is at 99.67% while among boys it is at 99.13%. Even though the results for both girls and boys is over 99%, girls have performed slightly better (0.54%) than boys.

This is the first time that CBSE has declared results without holding any board exams, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, class 12 results have been computed based on the performance of students in class 12 internals, class 10 finals, and class 11 finals.

After much debate, the formula was finalized by the board for this year and a new assessment formula has been created for the 2022 batch as well.

CBSE will not release a merit list this year. The merit list usually has top-scoring students who make it to the top 0.1% of scorers.

How to check CBSE Class 12 results 2021

Step 1: Visit cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html

Step 2: Scroll down and click on the designated link - Roll Number Finder.

Step 3: On the next window, click on the Continue button.

Step 4: Select the class -- Class 10 or Class 12.

Step 5: Insert the candidate’s name, name of mother and father and the date of birth of the candidate.

Step 6: Submit and access the roll number.
