CDS Chopper crash: Black box found, Air Force Chief visits crash site

The Air Force team on Thursday morning recovered the black box of the the ill-fated Mi-17V5 chopper that crashed on Wednesday killing CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others.

Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari reached the crash site on Thursday morning to review the probe.

The black box will be instrumental in finding the cause of the crash of the chopper that killed India's top military general.

The chopper crashed in the forest area, reportedly due to poor visibility following heavy fog. The IAF said a Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the accident.
