Manchester United's first game after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their manager was a memorable one as they beat Villarreal 2-0 on Tuesday to enter the last 16 of the Champions League.

It seemed that The Red Devils were in for another upset as no goals were scored till the 78th minute before Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock. Jadon Sancho sealed the game in the 90th minute with his first goal for Manchester United in his 15th match in all competitions.

The 2 goals gave Michael Carrick a win in his first game in temporary charge of the club. He later dedicated this win to former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
