Channing Tatum, director Steven Soderbergh and writer Reid Carolin are reuniting for the third installment in the popular stripper franchise 'Magic Mike'. Set up at Warner Bros, the new film is titled 'Magic Mike’s Last Dance' and will premiere exclusively on HBO Max.
Confirming the news on Twitter, Channing Tatum shared a photo of his script with the caption: "Well world, looks like Mike Lane's tapping back in."
Tatum portrayed the lead character Mike Lane in the 2012 film 'Magic Mike', which follows the life of a male stripper and his life at the club. He reprised the role for the 2015 sequel 'Magic Mike XXL'.
According to reports, the first two films grossed nearly $300 million worldwide and, in 2017, the franchise spawned the successful stage show Magic Mike Live.
