Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram took a jibe at PM Modi on Thursday for the Namaste Trump event organized on February 24. The senior leader’s jibe follows American President Donald Trump’s remark on India’s Covid figures. The US President had raised questions over the credibility of India's COVID-19 tally, claiming that it does not accurately disclose the number of deaths. Trump also mentioned India while talking about climate change, saying it is one of the countries that ‘send up real dirt into the air’. Chidambaram took to twitter to call out Modi’s ‘friendship’ with Trump, asking if Modi will hold another 'Namaste Trump!' rally to honour his dear friend after all these accusations.
