China's top streaming platforms reportedly censored around six minutes of footage from HBO Max's 'Friends: The Reunion' special. Reports say China's leading video platforms iQiyi, Tencent Video and Alibaba’s Youku chopped off the footage of K-pop band BTS, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. The streaming services also cut the comments of the LGBTQ fans of Friends.

The portions were reportedly removed after the K-Pop band has been a target of censors in China, since they have talked about sacrifices of South Koreans and U.S. soldiers during the Korean War. Lady Gaga has been banned in China since she met the Dalai Lama in 2016. Justin Bieber is also blacklisted in China for his Instagram post about his visit to Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo in 2014.
