Amid the ongoing India-China border tensions, chief of defence staff General Bipin Rawat has said that the nation faces the threat of coordinated action on the eastern and the western front and it is essential to factor that in defence planning. He said all precautions have been taken to thwart Pakistan’s attempt to create trouble by taking advantage of threat developing along India’s north-eastern borders.
General Rawat said that India’s tri-services are capable of dealing with threats along the country's frontiers. He, however added that Indian armed forces will have to be prepared to meet immediate crisis and concurrently prepare for future.
