A trooper of the People’s Liberation Army was captured near the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh where the armies of India and China are locked in a face-off since May this year. News wire ANI reported that the Chinese solider was caught in the Chumar-Demchok area and may have inadvertently crossed the disputed border. A source-based report said that the Chinese soldier was carrying civil and military documents when he was captured by the army. The report also said the PLA solider will be returned to the Chinese Army ‘as per established protocol after following due procedure’.
