The Chinese Army soldier caught on the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh was carrying an empty pen drive, a mobile phone and a sleeping bag with him, according to an ANI report.
The Chinese soldier also had his military identification document when he was taken into custody by the Indian troops near the Demchok area of Ladakh on October 19.
The Chinese soldier was thoroughly checked and questioned by Indian military authorities as per the established protocols before being handed over to the Chinese at a border personnel meeting at Chushul.
Indian Army had earlier said that the PLA trooper was 'provided medical assistance including oxygen, food and warm clothes to protect him from the vagaries of extreme altitude and harsh climatic conditions'.
