The Supreme Court on Thursday directed all the state boards to declare Class XII results by July 31. The top court also told the state boards to notify the scheme for assessment within 10 days asking them to follow the timeline specified by it for CBSE and ICSE boards.

Last week, both CBSE and ICSE had submitted their evaluation criteria last week which the top court approved and called "fair and reasonable".

So far, 21 states have cancelled and six have conducted Class 12 board exams.
