Commuters cheer as Metro resumes with strict safety rules

Metro trains hit the tracks once again after being shut for over five months due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Metro services started in Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru on Monday even as Covid cases continue to see sharp spikes daily. Strict safety guidelines have been issued by the govt for those taking Metro trains. Commuters welcomed the resumption of Metro trains. Delhi Metro chief AK Garg himself took a Metro ride on Monday morning and expressed satisfaction on safety measures.
