COP26: PM Modi in Glasgow for climate summit, to also hold talks with Boris Johnson

After finishing his 3-day visit to Italy for the G-20 summit, Prime Minister Modi is now in Glasgow to attend the COP26 climate summit. 

The Prime Minister was received to the tune of Scottish bagpipes as he arrived at his hotel in Glasgow, where he was greeted by a large group of Indian diaspora representatives.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet community leaders and Indologists based in Scotland on Monday morning.

He will then proceed for the opening ceremony of the World Leaders’ Summit at the 26th Conference of Parties or COP26 to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change where he is set to address the summit plenary session.

Later in the day, he will hold bilateral talks with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
