Prime Minister Narendra Modi pitched India's bold agenda to tackle climate change at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow.
The Prime Minister listed steps taken by the country so far to tackle the problem that threatens the very existence of our Earth.

1. "Instead of mindless and destructive consumption, we need mindful and deliberate utilisation".
2. "For me, the Paris climate conference was not a summit, it was a sentiment, a commitment".
3. "India home to 17% of the world's population but is responsible for just 5 per cent of emissions".
4. "India has no stone unturned to fulfill its climate responsibilities".
5. "The whole world now accepts that India is the only major economy which delivered on the Paris commitments in letter and spirit".
6. "World today admits that lifestyle has a major role in climate change".
7. "I propose a one-word movement. That word is LIFE -- meaning Lifestyle For Environment".
8. "We know reality that promises made so far over climate finance have proven to be hollow".
9. "Amid this global deliberation, I want to put forward on India's behalf five "Amrit Tatwas" to tackle this challenge".
10. "Climate change is a major threat to existence to many developing countries".
11. "India expects developed nations to make climate finance of 1 Trillion dollars available at the earliest"
