Data from a new Counterpoint report indicates that Xiaomi sold the most smartphones in India last year. The report says that strong sales for the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 9 series of smartphones contributed to a 13% year-over-year growth in Q4 2020. While Xiaomi captured the #1 spot with 26% market share, Samsung came in second with 21%, followed by Vivo and Realme. The report states that India saw the sale of over 150 million smartphones in 2020, thanks to high demand due to the lockdown, work from home and e-learning.
