Covid-19 crisis: Tamil Nadu extends night curfew, Sunday lockdown 'until further orders'

The Tamil Nadu government extended night curfew and complete lockdown on Sundays until further orders. The Covid-19 restrictions introduced in April will continue in May as well.

A complete lockdown shall be enforced through the State on all Sundays without any relaxation. All cinemas, multiplexes, clubs & bars, gyms to remain closed. This Sunday, however the restrictions will be relaxed in view of counting of votes, an order issued by chief secretary Rajeev Ranjan stated.

The night curfew will continue to be enforced throughout the State between 10 pm and 4 am.
