India's daily case count of Covid remains above the 5,000-mark, as per latest data issued by the government on 11 April 2023.
5,676 new cases were recorded in 24 hours, taking the active case tally to 37,093.
Additionally, 21 deaths were reported in one day, taking the total toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 5.31 lakhs.
Three deaths were reported from Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan, two in Karnataka and one each in Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, besides six reconciled by Kerala.
