Covid: India sees slower rise in daily cases; 27 deaths in one day

India recorded a slower rise in daily cases of Covid-19, with 9,111 new infections being reported in a day, as per government data released on the morning of 17 April 2023.

A day earlier, this number was 10,093.

27 deaths from 11 states were recorded in 24 hours, as per the latest statistics.

The active case tally rose to 60,313.
