A new finding from Australia's national science agency CSIRO has revealed that the Covid-19 virus can remain active on cash, phone screens and stainless steel surfaces for 28 days!

Their study showed that the virus was 'extremely robust', surviving for 28 days on glass and other smooth surfaces when in room temperature. On cloth, the virus seemed to last for a shorter period of time.

On the other hand, the flu virus can survive in the same scenario for 17 days.

The study, which was published in Virology Journal, further showed that the SARS-Cov-2 survived for less time at hotter temperatures.
