Fresh CCTV footage has emerged purportedly of the incident in which a woman was dragged under a car for many kilometres in Delhi, resulting in her death.
The new video clip shows the car in question making a U-turn. An object is seen under the front left wheel of the car. This is the area in which eyewitness Deepak Dahiya reportedly saw the victim being dragged by the car on 1 January 2023.
The scooty of a 20-year-old woman was allegedly hit by the car. She got tangled in the wheels and was dragged for a long distance. The National Commission for Women has asked the Delhi Police to probe whether she was sexually assaulted before her death.

Meanwhile, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that his "head hangs in shame". Saxena called the incident an "inhuman crime", and said he was "shocked at the monstrous insensitivity" of the accused who were later arrested.
