Assam Chief Minister reprimanded police officials publicly after the suicide of Vineet Bagaria, a businessman.

The 32-year-old businessman was allegedly being threatened by some criminals.
In his final message, Bagaria reportedly blamed 3 people, including the tenant of a shop owned by his family.

Bagaria's family claimed that he had informed police about threats from the accused, but no action had been taken.

While meeting with the deceased's family, Sarma told police officials, "I'm not able to understand. How did Baidullah Khan get involved? I'm unable to think. Our government has become so weak that Baidullah Khan has come here? I'm so ashamed that it is impossible for me to feel more shame. Despite our presence, Baidullah Khan reached here. I've never been more ashamed in life. If Baidullah Khan is still active in Dibrugarh, what are we doing? What are you doing?"

Sarma added, "You're the SP, and still Baidullah Khan reached here - the central area of the town. What is the point of appointing you then? The death is secondary. My first question is how did Baidullah Khan get here?"

"My brain is not working. What are they saying? What am I hearing? Is this an incident in Assam or Jammu and Kashmir? This is one case. How many Baidullah Khans must be roaming around in Dibrugarh," the CM said.

Following CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's outburst, reports emerged that 2 individuals - Baidullah Khan and Nishanth Sharma - had been arrested, with one Izaz Khan still absconding.
