Shraddha murder: day after attack, Aaftab Poonawala taken to forensic lab again; security increased

A day after a van carrying him was attacked, alleged murderer Aaftab Amin Poonawala was taken to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Delhi for the fifth time.

A Delhi Police vehicle carrying Shraddha Walkar's alleged killer was attacked by sword-wielding men on 28 November 2022. Subsequently, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were deployed outside the FSL facility to prevent untoward incidents.

Aaftab was taken to the forensic lab for polygraph tests.

Meanwhile, Delhi police said that they have arrested 2 persons for attacking the van carrying Aaftab. The two alleged attackers were identified as Kuldeep Thakur and Nigam Gujjar, and they claimed to be part of an outfit called the Hindu Sena.

Aaftab Poonawala has been accused of strangling his partner Shraddha Walkar to death, before cutting her body into 35 pieces, and keep them in his refrigerator for many weeks till he slowly disposed of them.
