Delhi Police announced their sixth arrest in the Anjali Singh death case on 6 January 2023.

The latest person to be arrested is Ashutosh, for allegedly giving false information to the police. His alleged role came to light after investigators analysed CCTV footage.

On 5 January, police had said that they are looking into the role of 2 more suspects - Ashutosh and Ankush Khanna. They allegedly tried to help the men accused of hitting Anjali's scooty with their car, and then dragged her body for around 13 km.

Earlier, cops said that four persons were in the car that hit Anjali's scooty. For many days after her death on 1 January 2023, it was believed that 5 men were in the car.
