Crocodile, seen in Navi Mumbai sewers for years, rescued finally

A crocodile, who had been roaming in the creeks and sewers of Navi Mumbai for many years, has finally been rescued.

The reptile, measuring over 6 ft, was rescued on Tuesday morning from a sewer in Belapur area, an official of the forest department confirmed.

A trap cage was put in place to rescue it and the animal has now been sent for a medical check-up before being released to a safe location.
