Caution and patience, that's the word from the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as she faced a flurry of questions in Parliament about cryptocurrency and what the government is doing to provide clarity on legality while safeguarding the investors. Here is a snapshot of the question answers in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday-:

Question: Is government going to regulate or ban?
FM's reply: Since the bill is going to come, as of now, we can't say anything more on what Govt will do.

Question: What will be the regulatory capacity with RBI
FM's reply: Let us wait for the Bill, have had consultations with all related regulators

Question: Will the govt do anything to inform public about not investing in it, ban ads, till Bill is brought?
FM's reply: Govt has issued advisory for people to exercise caution, this is a risky area.No decision was taken on banning its advisements. Steps are taken to create awareness through RBI & SEBI.
