Cyclone Gulab: evacuations on in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha

Evacuations are on in coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha with a cyclonic storm expected to make landfall on Sunday evening. 

Cyclone 'Gulab' s expected to make landfall between Gopalpur and Kalingapatanam in Andhra Pradesh with wind speeds of up to 95 kmph, according to the met deparment. 

Thirteen teams of the National Disaster Response Force have been deployed in Odisha and five in Andhra Pradesh, Satya Narayan Pradhan, Director General of the relief force has said. 

Train services on the east coast have been cancelled, diverted or rescheduled as a precautionary measure.
