Flooding in Cambodia has killed at least 11 people since the beginning of October. Seasonal rains in the Mekong region have been made worse by a tropical storm, which caused flash floods in three Cambodian provinces – Pursat, Battambang and Pailin last week. Hundreds of families have been forced to leave their homes and find refuge in higher grounds. On Friday, Prime Minister Hun Sen ordered local authorities to mobilise assistance to those affected.
