After England enforced the follow on, not many gave the Indian team much of a chance to bounce back into the Test, but the women fought back hard to pull of a draw in the one-off Test, which was no less than a win.
Shafali Verma fell early on the 4th and final day for 63 and India soon found themselves at 199/7. Just then it seemed that that the defeat was near, Sneh Rana stood tall. She dug deep with a match saving 80 not out. It is now the highest score by an Indian batting at number 6 or lower in Women's Test cricket. She was well supported by Tania Bhatiya who remained unbeaten on 44. India's 2nd innings ended with 344/8 and the Test with a lead of 179 runs.
