Delhi police on Wednesday moved Supreme Court challenging Delhi High Court's order granting bail to Pinjra Tod activists Devangana Kalita and Natasha Narwal and Jamia student Asif Iqbal Tanha, in connection with northeast Delhi violence case.

The court had on Tuesday granted bail to the trio who were in jail for a year for their alleged role in the riots.

In the bail order, the court had said that proma facie no charges under the tough anti-terror law UAPA were made out against the activists. It has also called out the Centre and the police for blurring "the line between a terror activity and protest in its anxiety to suppress dissent".
