Delhi receives overnight rain, Met dept forecasts moderate to heavy showers for Monday

The weather in Delhi continued to remain pleasant with the national capital receiving rainfall throughout Sunday. Rains lashed the city overnight as well leading to waterlogging and posing a problem for early commuters. 

The Met dept has predicted thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain over isolated places in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad and other cities for Monday.

On Sunday, maximum temperature in Delhi settled at 30.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, the India Meteorological Department said. 

The minimum temperature settled at 23.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal while the relative humidity recorded at 5.30 pm was 96 percent, it said.

The IMD attributed the untimely rains to western disturbance.
