After schools were allowed to reopen in a graded manner under Unlock 5 guidelines, Delhi government has decided to keep them shut till the end of October. The Delhi government had earlier ordered schools to be shut till October 5. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia revised the dates and said it is not appropriate to take any risk with the health of the children. The Unlock 5.0 guidelines let the states decide to open educational institutions from October 15, without making attendance compulsory for the students.
