Diwali 2021: Also known as Deepawali, Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most widely celebrated festivals of the year. Lord Rama is said to have returned from a 14-year exile with his wife Sita and younger brother Laxman on Diwali. The day celebrates the triumph of 'good over evil' and 'light over darkness.'

As per the Hindu calendar, Diwali is celebrated on the new moon day of the Krishna Paksha of the Kartik month. This year Diwali will be celebrated on 4th November. In the evening, people worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh. 

According to astrologers, four planets will be in the same zodiac sign on Diwali day. As a result, Diwali this year is said to be particularly fortunate.

The timing of Diwali Lakshmi Puja is from 06:09 pm to 08:20 pm. The total duration of Lakshmi Puja is 1 hour 55 minutes.

When is Dhanteras 2021?

Dhanteras falls on the thirteenth day of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year it will be celebrated on 2nd November.

When is Choti Diwali 2021?

This year's Choti Diwali falls on November 3rd, 2021. Roopchaudas is another name for this day.

When is Govardhan Puja 2021?

This year Govardhan Puja shall be observed on 5th November 2021.

When is Bhai Dooj 2021?

Bhai Dooj, a festival symbolising brother-sister love shall be celebrated on November 6.
