The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday denied any political links to the recent drug bust at a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. The anti-drug agency said it has followed all procedures during raids and the action taken was as per rule of law.

In a press conference, Deputy Director General of NCB, Gyaneshwar Singh, said the allegations levelled against the central agency were "baseless".

The NCB statement came after the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which is a member of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, alleged that there was no seizure made on the Cordelia cruise ship.

Gyaneshwar Singh stated that based on a tip-off, the team of NCB Mumbai raided at International Cruise Terminal, Green Gate Mumbai and Cordelia Cruise ship on October 2 and intercepted eight people, including Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.
