Is India on the path to becoming truly digital? The government has created 'India Stack' which is a tech stack for the entire country. A stack is an amalgamation of all technologies required to operate an application such as computer languages, libraries, servers along with APIs. The move by the govt aims to push India to the forefront of fintech in the world. While, the move could help make India truly digital, experts have raised questions about the infrastructure needed to protect the 'India Stack' from cyber attacks. With no dedicated law on privacy or cyber security in the country, the digital rights of citizens remains unaddressed and prone to violation. On News Guru this week, Vikram Chandra along with the Head of Digital India Foundation, Arvind Gupta and the Chairperson of the International Commission on Cyber Security Law, Dr Pavan Duggal discuss the challenges that lie ahead in India's digital revolution.
