As Telangana gears up for 2024 Lok Sabha elections on May 13, all eyes are on Hyderabad where a fierce battle is unfolding between four-time MP Asaduddin Owaisi and BJP’s Lok Sabha debutant candidate Madhavi Latha who has been at the center of a controversy following her ‘provocative’ campaigning style.

49-year-old Latha is a cultural activist who holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Nizam College and a Master's degree in Political Science from Osmania University.

As chairperson of a prominent healthcare chain based in the city, Latha faced a setback when health authorities revoked its licence for Covid treatment after allegations of overcharging patients.

editorji’s Vikram Chandra caught up with Madhavi Latha on how prepared is she to take on AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi in his home turf which has over 60% Muslim votes.

Can she succeed in scripting history?
