The Ukraine-Russia war, following the Covid-19 pandemic, has resulted in soaring global prices and caused fuel and food shortages. The resulting inflation has hit India hard. Retail inflation has surged to the highest point in 8 years, and both home loans and petrol have gotten more expensive.

However, this crisis also presents an opportunity for India to transform its economy, and change the balance of power in Asia.
