With a cloud cover and moisture in the air, conditions for batting at Lord's looked challenging, but KL Rahul came out with flying colours. After impressing in both innings of the 1st Test, Rahul backed it up with his 6th Test hundred in London and 3rd vs England.
Interestingly, he hadn't played a Test in almost a year before this series and might have sat out had Shubman Gill not injured himself. He got the opportunity to open the batting, which Rahul grabbed with both hands.
