The 2024 Tony Awards were held on June 16 at the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts in New York. Hosted by Ariana DeBose for the third year in a row, the ceremony was broadcast live on CBS.
‘Merrily We Roll Along’ won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, while ‘Stereophonic’ was named Best Play. ‘Appropriate’ won the award for Best Revival of a Play.
Notable winners included Daniel Radcliffe, Sarah Paulson, and Jeremy Strong, all winning their first Tonys. Dede Ayite also made history as the first Black woman to win a Tony for Best Costume Design of a Play.
