In a fresh attack on the movie 'Adipurush' and its makers, the All Indian Cine Workers Association wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 20, 2023, seeking a ban on the movie.

The Association said that 'Adipurush' defames Hindu gods Ram and Hanuman, and hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The Association also sought the filing of an FIR against director Om Raut, writer Manoj Shukla, and producers of the film.
