Actor-producer Alia Bhatt has been announced as Italian luxury house Gucci’s first global ambassador from India. The news was shared by the Women’s Wear Daily website on Thursday.
Alia will reportedly make her debut as the brand’s newest face at the upcoming Cruise 2024 show, which will take place in Seoul, South Korea, on May 16. She will be joining the ranks of global ambassadors at Gucci such as Dakota Johnson, Hanni from the K-pop group New Jeans and Harry Styles.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Editor-in-Chief, Olivia Phillips, Alia Bhatt said, ‘2022 was the most momentous year of my life in terms of milestones. But for me, every day of 2023 is surprising.
Whatever decision I make, if it feels right, I’ll do it. But if it doesn’t feel right, you’ll always see me taking 16 steps back. I could be offered the biggest movie, the biggest team, but if it doesn’t feel right, I wouldn’t be able to take that step forward.’
Alia Bhatt, who embraced motherhood in November last year, made her successful debut at the Met Gala this year. She has multiple projects in the pipeline. She is set to make her Hollywood debut with Netflix’s ‘Heart of Stone’ and also star in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.
