The 2024 BAFTA TV Awards were held on May 12th at London's Royal Festival Hall, honouring the best in British television from the past year. ‘Top Boy’ and ‘Happy Valley’ were major winners, while ‘The Crown’ faced disappointment with zero wins from its 8 nominations.
In the international category, top contenders like Succession, Beef, and The Bear were all surpassed by the underrated French series ‘Class Act’, which took home the award.
In the acting categories, Jasmine Jobson won a BAFTA Award for Supporting Actress in ‘Top Boy’, and Timothy Spall won Leading Actor for ‘The Sixth Commandment'.
Other winners included Squid Game: The Challenge for Best Reality, Strictly Come Dancing for Best Entertainment Programme, and Joe Lycett for Best Entertainment Performance.
