Actor Nora Fatehi appeared before the Patiala House Court in New Delhi on Friday to record her statements on how she got close to conman Sukesh Chandrahekar, an accused in the Rs 200 crore fraud case.
Her advocate Vikram Singh Chauhan said that the actor gave the statement before a magistrate to assist the investigation. He said that his client's conduct has been compliant since she has utmost faith in judicial process as well as laws of India.
Chauhan further added, ‘She has, time and again, proved, through her conduct that, in all bona fides, despite her contractual liabilities, she ensures, she assists the investigating agencies whenever the need arises.’
The economic offences wing of the Delhi Police has questioned Nora Fatehi multiple times in the ₹200 fraud involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Chandrashekhar allegedly gifted expensive items to Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez. Though Nora has denied receiving any such gift.
On the work front, Nora recently featured in an episode of Disney Plus Hotstar’s series ‘Moving In with Malaika’. She also appeared in ‘An Action Hero’, dancing to ‘Jheda Nasha’ with Ayushmann Khurrana.
