Actor Akhil Mishra, best known for his role in Aamir Khan starrer ‘3 Idiots’, died in an accident on September 20. He was 58. His wife Suzanne Bernert confirmed the news to Indian Express.
A friend close to the couple told the publication that the actor was unwell due to blood pressure-related issues. He was on a stool in the kitchen trying to do something, when he reportedly fell down and hurt his head. He was found in a pool of blood and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors tried to save him but he died after a few hours.
At that time, Suzanne was in Hyderabad shooting for a project. She rushed back home upon receiving the news.
Akhil Mishra played the librarian Dubey in ‘3 Idiots’. He has also been part of films like ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Well Done Abba’, ‘Calcutta Mail’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Don’. On television, he has been part of shows like ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se’, ‘Uttaran’, ‘Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna’ and ‘Shrimaan Shrimati’ among others.
Suzanne Bernert was last seen in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. She recently spoke about how her husband Akhil Mishra put his career on hold to help her learn Hindi so that she could get better roles in films.
