Actor Annu Kapoor, who was admitted to Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital after he complained of chest pain, was discharged on Sunday. Dr Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital), shared the update with news agency PTI.
Annu Kapoor was admitted to the hospital in the early hours of January 26. As per the hospital’s statement, he underwent treatment under a cardiology team comprising Dr J P S Sawhney, Dr Rajneesh Jain, Dr Rajiv Passey, Dr BS Vivek and Dr Sushant Wattal.
Annu Kapoor is best known for hosting a singing-based reality show 'Antakshari' for 11 years- from 1994-2005.
He is the recipient of two National Awards - he received the Best Children's Film award for directing the film 'Abhay' in 1994 and won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Vicky Donor'.
He is not only an actor, but he is also a TV presenter and radio jockey.
Annu Kapoor's last appearance was in the 2022 web series 'Crash Course', in which he played the antagonist. He will next be seen in 'Dream Girl 2' alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday which is scheduled to be released in theatres on June 23, 2022.
