Actor Salim Ghouse passes away, celebs pay tribute

Versatile actor Salim Ghouse passed away on Thursday. He was best known for his exemplary performances in films like 'Sardari Begum', 'Kalyug', 'Manthan', 'Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho', 'Saaransh', 'Koyla' and others. He became a household name with serials like 'Subah' and 'Bharat Ek Khoj'.

As per a report in Firstpost, the 70-year-old Salim Ghouse had passed away due to cardiac arrest. The report further stated a source close to the actor's family that Ghouse complained of chest pain. He was immediately rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The late actor's wife, Anita Salim told a daily newspaper that he was a multifaceted actor, a martial artist, an actor, a director, and a lovely chef in the kitchen.

After the unfortunate news of Salim Ghouse's death, many actors took to social media to express their condolences. Actor Sharib Hashmi tweeted, 'Pehli baar #SalimGhouse Sahab ko tv serial #Subah mein dekha tha! Aur unka kaam behadd laajavaab laga tha !!', Vivaan Shah shared the late actor's monochrome picture with the caption, 'RIP Salim Ghouse sir. Deeply devastated to hear of his passing. A great great artist and a wonderful human being. A towering actor of Shakespearean proportions. My heart goes out to Anita Ma’m and Aaryama. Strength and prayers to the whole family.'
