Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ is facing major backlash for its poor VFX and for misrepresenting Lord Ram, and Ravana. Many people are demanding a ban on the movie which stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan. Now, the makers of ‘Adipurush’ unveiled the 3D teaser to the media in Hyderabad.
At the 3D teaser launch event, actor Prabhas responded to the criticism and promised that he would soon come up with a new bang-on content. He also said that the 3D teaser is very thrilling and this is the first time in India has witnessed this type of technology.
Prabhas added that audience will have to watch ‘Adipurush’ in 3D for a never-ever seen before experience. He also informed that they have prepared 60 theaters for fans to watch the 3D teaser of ‘Adipurush’. ‘And for my fans, we are screening the teaser in 60 theatres. They are our support. They should watch it first. What they feel about it matters,’ he said.
Director Om Raut also opened up about the hate he has been receiving. During the press interaction, he said that he wants to reach the generation consuming 'Spider-Man’, ‘Iron Man’, through this film. He said, ‘What does today's generation want? The generation that is consuming Marvel, the one that's consuming Spider-Man, Iron Man, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings and what not. With the help of Adipurush, I want to get through to the current generation.’
He also added that the main objective behind the film is to make younger generation watch ‘Ramayana’ in the way they would like. ‘The main objective of this film is to let the younger generation experience Ramayana in a way that they would understand and find entertaining. Because unless we talk to them in their language, they won't consume the content which is not what our objective is,’ he said. Further, the filmmaker revealed that no foreign studio is involved in the making of ‘Adipurush’.
In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Om also said that he was heavily influenced by Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’ and is confident that he has not done anything wrong with ‘Adipurush’. He added that even that version of ‘Ramayan’ had added some modern technology which made the audience impressed.
It seems that the makers of ‘Adipurush’ have controlled some damage by screening the 3D version of the teaser to the media. Prabhas, Om Raut, Dil Raju and several others attended the launch.
